Two weeks in the Dolomites

On carrying less, walking earlier, and the discipline of not photographing everything.

Two weeks in the Dolomites

The best decision of the trip was to carry one body and two lenses. Everything after that followed from the constraint.

Walking earlier meant fewer people and better light, but mostly it meant a different pace. You notice more when you are not competing for a position.

I came back with fewer frames than any trip in the last three years and kept a higher proportion of them.
